ALL RECYCLING MUST BE CLEAN!

GREEN CART - Commingle Recycling includes only the following items:

PLASTIC - in the form of a jug, tub or bottle only (#1-5 & #7)

  • NO #6 plastic items
  • NO toys, hoses or items with metal parts
  • NO packing materials
  • NO plastic bags
  • NO Styrofoam
 

CARDBOARD – MUST BE FLATTENED - Corrugated boxes, cereal boxes, & product packaging.

  • NO waxed cardboard
  • NO boxes with food residue (pizza boxes, etc)
 

PAPER - newspaper, magazines, junk mail, computer paper, paperback books, phone books

  • NO paper cups
  • NO paper plates
  • NO tissue paper
  • NO napkins
  • NO paper towels
 

TIN CANS & ALUMINUM FOIL – Clean soup & food cans, aluminum foil (crumpled into a ball no smaller than your fist)

  • NO aerosol cans
  • NO paint cans
  • NO chemical cans
  • NO auto or engine parts
 

RED BIN- only the following items:

GLASS – Jars & bottles only. Must be rinsed thoroughly

  • NO broken glass or ceramic dishes
  • NO mirrors
  • NO light bulbs
 

MOTOR OIL – Motor oil, transmission fluid or hydraulic oil only. Must be in unbreakable one-gallon container with tight screw-on lid.

  • NO antifreeze, solvents or gasoline
  • NO cooking oils
