Severe Weather Delayed Schedule – January 2017

Collection Schedule for Friday January 6th:

We are currently working on schedule today to complete our routes in the Danebo, River Rd & Coburg Rd areas.  We will be attempting to pickup customers in the low lying areas of South Eugene (Wednesday, Thursday & Friday routes) today as long as road conditions allow safe operations.

Due to the icy conditions and slick roads caused by the winter storm – we will NOT be operating residential collection routes in the hill areas of South Eugene until roads conditions are safe enough to conduct operations.

We will be working as quickly as possible in spite of the bad road conditions to complete the routes. We ask for your patience and for you to do the following:

  • PLACE YOUR CARTS OUT FOR COLLECTION ON YOUR NORMAL PICKUP DAY.
  • IF YOU ARE IN SOUTH EUGENE HILL AREAS (Wed, Thur, or Friday) & YOUR CARTS DO NOT GET EMPTIED ON YOUR NORMAL DAY this week –  Please set carts out on your next regular collection day and we will take all extra items trash and recycle items at no additional cost next week.
  • We are unable to haul yard debris during these cold temperatures as the material freezes in the carts and we need all available trucks to collect trash and recycling. As such if your yard debris does not get emptied on the normal schedule this week, we will collect it on your next regularly scheduled pickup week. We apologize for this inconvenience.

**We will continue to update the website news as we are able, so please check back.

Severe Weather Delayed Schedule – December 2016

Collection Schedule for Thursday December 15th:

Due to the icy conditions and downed trees caused by the winter storm we have to alter some of our operations – We are currently working on schedule today to complete our routes in the Danebo, River Rd & Coburg Rd areas. If weather conditions worsen, we may be forced to suspend operations due to safety concerns.

We will NOT be operating residential collection routes in the South Eugene hills due to weather until roads are cleared of debris and conditions are safe enough to conduct operations.

We will be working as quickly as possible in spite of the bad road conditions and downed trees to complete the routes. We ask for your patience and for you to do the following:

  • PLACE YOUR CARTS OUT FOR COLLECTION ON YOUR NORMAL PICKUP DAY.
  • IF YOUR CARTS DO NOT GET EMPTIED ON YOUR NORMAL DAY; LEAVE THEM AT THE CURB FOR PICKUP THE FOLLOWING DAY. (i.e. – if your pickup day is Monday and your carts do not get emptied Monday, leave them out for pickup on Tuesday)
  • We are unable to haul yard debris during these cold temperatures as the material freezes in the carts and we need all available trucks to collect trash and reycling. As such if your yard debris does not get emptied on the normal schedule we will collect it on your next regularly scheduled pickup week. We apologize for this inconvenience.

Coats for Kids

Coats for Kids – 2016

The Eugene Active 20-30 Club is conducting their annual Coats For Kids project from September 26th-October 21st. Lane Apex is proud to be a partner in helping get coats for the needy children in Lane County. Often children in our area go without warm winter gear because their families cannot afford to purchase a new or used winter coat. Last year the Active 20-30 Club supplied coats through agencies such as Birth to Three, Head Start, The Relief Nursery & SCAR/Jasper Mountain to name a few and still were not able to fill all the request they had. Can you help this year?

From September 26th through October 21st, Lane Apex will be accepting donation of new and used coats at our office (2399 Hwy 99, Eugene, OR-just a quarter mile south of Beltline) and our drivers will also be able to take coat donation on our regular routes to make it easy for you to help:

  • Just place a new or used coat in a plastic bag and mark it “Coats for Kids”. The drivers will pick these up and we will make sure they get to the Active 20-30 Club for distribution to needy children in our area.
  • There is a significant need for infant and toddler  sizes as there are many requests for these sizes of coats.
  • For more information, check the Eugene 20-30 Club’s website-www.eugene2030.org
