    Toys For Tots

We are accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys at our office at 2399 Hwy 99 N, Eugene, OR 97402. We’ll be accepting the toys from now until December 11th for the Toys for Tots drive in our community. Our office hours are 8-4:30, Monday-Friday.

    Upcoming Holiday Schedules

Rule of Thumb—If your pickup day falls on or after an observed holiday; your pickup will be one day later that week, ending with Friday’s pickup being done on Saturday.

Thanksgiving Day closed 11/23 – Pickups for Thursday and Friday will be one day late

Christmas Day closed 12/25 – Pickups for Monday-Friday will be one day late

New Years Day closed 1/1 – Pickups for Monday-Friday will be one day late

Martin Luther King Jr Day 1/15 – Normal pickup schedule

    President’s Day 2/19 – Normal pickup schedule

During a holiday pickup week, please have all carts out by 6 am on your pickup day or the night before, as routes may be done at a different time.

    Acceptable Recycling Items

Please watch your statements for a new list of acceptable recyclable items (YES/NO list). Due to the China ban impacting the markets for recycling on the West Coast states, we need all our customers to only recycle the items listed in the “YES” column to help make sure we can keep the recycling stream as clean as possible in the hope it can still have a market. Other changes to the list of acceptable items will likely be coming soon as we get more information from the recycling processors for our materials.

    Coats for Kids

    Coats for Kids – 2017

The Eugene Active 20-30 Club is conducting their annual Coats for Kids project from through October 27th. Lane Apex is proud to be a partner in helping get coats for the needy children in Lane County. Often children in our area go without warm winter gear because their families cannot afford to purchase a new or used winter coat. Last year the Active 20-30 Club supplied coats through agencies such as Birth to Three, Head Start, The Relief Nursery & SCAR/Jasper Mountain to name a few and still were not able to fill all the requests they had. Can you help this year? Now through October 27th, Lane Apex will be accepting donations of new and used coats at our office (2399 Hwy 99, Eugene, OR—just a quarter mile south of Beltline) and our drivers will also be able to take coat donation on our regular routes to make it easy for you to help:

•Just place a new or used coat in a plastic bag and mark it “Coats for Kids”. The drivers will pick these up and we will make sure they get to the needy children in our area.

•There is a significant need for infant and toddler sizes as there are many request for these sizes of coats.
