Recycling

Simpler recycling! Thanks to our innovative new co-mingling program, you no longer have to spend hours sorting through piles of cans, sacks of paper, boxes, glass bottles and plastic containers. Instead, you can put all your recyclables (except for glass) into one bin or cart. It's easier for you—and better for the environment!

All you have to do is:
1) Separate your glass into a bag or bin.
2) Put the rest of your recyclables in your cart or bin. Place the bag of glass into the bin or beside it.
3) Place your cart or bin at the curb and we'll do the rest!

Co-mingling simplifies your sorting and makes our pickup and processing more efficient. That means our trucks make fewer trips, use less fuel and release fewer pollutants into the air. Plus, when you separate out the glass, you eliminate the possibility of contaminating other recyclables with glass shards (contaminated recyclables must go to the landfill instead of the recycling facility.) It's better for everyone!

Great! How do I get started? The service is FREE to all Lane Apex customers! Simply start co-mingling anytime. Just place all of your recycling on the curb on garbage day, four feet from your garbage can, before 6:00 am. (If you're not already working with us, drop us an e-mail to sign up or call 607.2042 and start your simplified recycling program today!)

What if I have more recycling than I can fit into one bin? No problem! We can get you extra recycle bins. Or , you can try one of our new recycling roll carts. These 65-gallon carts make it easy to transfer your recycling loads to the curb. (Just remember that glass, motor oil and any other "NO CAN DO" items cannot go into the recycle cart. You can still use your bin for glass.)
